The adjustment of the discharge size of roller crusher is mainly realised by adjusting the roller gap, equipment parameters and maintenance management as follows:

Roller Crusher
Wedge device adjustment
The position of the wedge is controlled by adjusting bolts:
When the wedge is pulled upwards, the gap between the movable roller and the fixed roller increases, and the grain size of the discharged material becomes coarse.
When the wedge is pressed downwards, the spring pressure reduces the gap, and the grain size of the discharged material becomes finer.
Gasket device adjustment
Increase the number or thickness of shims, the gap between the two rollers increases, and the granularity of the discharged material becomes coarse. Decrease the number or thickness of shims, the gap decreases, and the granularity of the discharged material becomes fine.
Adjustment of hydraulic system of fully hydraulic roll crusher
The roller gap is controlled by hydraulic pressure:
Increasing the pressure reduces the gap and results in finer grain size. Decreasing the pressure increases the gap, resulting in a coarser grain size.
Optimisation of machine parameters to adjust the discharge size
Adjustment of roller speed
The higher the rotational speed, the shorter the material residence time, the coarser the discharging granularity; the lower the rotational speed, the finer the granularity. Adjustment should be made according to the hardness of the material, and it is recommended to reduce the rotational speed for hard materials.
Control the feeding quantity
Too much feed may lead to uneven particle size, need to keep even feed through the feeder, avoid overload operation.
Regularly check the wear and tear according to the actual adjustment
Wear of roller surface will lead to a natural increase in the gap, need to repair or replace the roller skin in a timely manner in order to maintain a stable particle size. It is recommended to use wear-resistant material rollers (such as HRC60° alloy steel) to extend the service life.
It is recommended to adjust the gap or parameters slightly (e.g. 1-2mm each time) to avoid large changes affecting the stability of the equipment. Material Adaptation: High hardness (e.g. shale) or flaky materials may affect the adjustment effect, and need to be combined with a hammer crusher and other equipment pretreatment. Difference in models: Different models (e.g. 2PG400×250 and 2PG900×500) may have different regulating devices, which should be referred to the discharge size specific equipment manual.
Through the combination of the above methods of adjustment, you can accurately control the particle size of the roll crusher. In actual operation, it should be flexibly adjusted according to the material characteristics (e.g. hardness, moisture content) and equipment status, and regularly maintained to ensure long-term stable operation.
