Double Stage Crusher FAQ

Double Stage Crusher: Frequently Asked Questions

Expert insights into HSM’s non-clogging fine crushing technology.

Q
How does the Double Stage Crusher handle high-moisture materials without clogging?

The secret lies in our Screenless Design. Unlike traditional crushers that use a sieve bottom (grate), the HSM Double Stage Crusher has a completely open discharge path. This allows wet materials like coal gangue or clay to pass through immediately after being crushed by the dual rotors, ensuring 100% anti-clogging performance even in rainy seasons.

Q
What is the advantage of having two rotors instead of one?

It creates a Relay Crushing Effect. The upper rotor performs the initial coarse crushing, and the material then falls directly into the path of the lower rotor for high-speed fine crushing. This “hammer-on-hammer” and “material-on-material” impact results in a much finer output (up to 3mm) and significantly higher capacity than single-rotor machines.

Q
How durable are the hammers, and is maintenance difficult?

Our hammers are made from High-Chromium Manganese Steel Alloy, which is extremely wear-resistant. For maintenance, we’ve equipped the machine with a Hydraulic Casing Opener. One person can open the machine with a single key to inspect or replace hammers, drastically reducing labor intensity and downtime.
